SUMMARY:Norma Buist Swimming Gala
DESCRIPTION:The Norma Buist Swimming Gala is aimed at children and young\npeople up to\, and including\, the age of 18 with any disability who can\nswim at least 25 metres of a recognised stroke unaided.  You do not need to be a member of a swim club\, It gives the\nopportunity for these young people to compete with their peers in an\ninclusive environment within a fair playing field. It gives them the\nopportunity to grow and develop at their own pace and ability and\nmakes success an achievable. goal.\nThe system of time banding used is widely adopted in disability sport\nacross Scotland and is recognised as encouraging success\,\nenjoyment\, and fun\, while taking steps towards a competitive\npathway if qualifying times are achied and if wanted.\nThis gala is the qualifier for the National Learning Disability Junior\nChampionships held in Scotland each year and also supports a\npathway to the National Junior Championships for those with\nphysical and /or sensory impairments held in Grangemouth. Selection\nfor these National Championships are based on qualifying times from\nour Grampian Disability Sport Norma Buist and Mary Duncan Galas as\nset by Scottish Disability Sport.

DESCRIPTION:The GDS\, Indoor Bowls Championship is planned to be held at Aberdeen Indoor Bowling Club in October. \nDate is awating to be confirmend and is open to bowlers who meeting the criteria for the relevent sections. \nWe are starting earlier this year and scheduled to finish later. \nFormat – Singles\, \ncompetition format and groups will be arranged based on the number of entries in each section \nCatagories \nVisually Impared bowlers \nLearning Disability Bowlers \nAmbulient Bowlers with a disability. \nDeaf Bowlers \nWheelchair bowlers if you want to take part please get in touch as bowls specific wheels may need to be arranged.
