Volunteer

We are always looking for new volunteers! No experience or qualifications are needed – just an interest in sport and a passion for making a difference to people with disabilities.

Volunteering with GDS offers a range of benefits including gaining nationally-recognised qualifications and experience across a range of sporting opportunities in an uplifting and fun-filled environment.

The volunteer recruitment process in any role with GDS is:

  1. Volunteer application with 2 referees
  2. GDS contact referees for references
  3. Once paperwork all received PVG will be applied for
  4. Once PVG approved, GDS Code of Conduct must be signed

Committee Volunteering roles

You could volunteer as a member of the Grampian Disability Sport Committee to shape the future of disability sport in Grampian by supporting high-quality competitive and recreational sporting activities and athletes across our diverse and rural landscape.

Contact us on info@grampiandisabilitysport.org.uk if you’d like to get involved as a volunteer!

  2. Online Intro to Inclusive Practise by SDS (2 hours free)
  3. First Aid training (6 hr emergency first aid arranged and paid for by GICB project if volunteer does not already have a valid certificate)
