A Grampian para-bowls player is celebrating after taking home not one, but two national titles.
Zoe Kane, of Peterhead Bowling Club, competed at the SDS/SIBA Indoor Bowls Championships to become Scottish Female Indoor Champion. She is also currently the Scottish Female Outdoor Champion after a fantastic performance at the SDS National Lawn Bowls Championships in September 2021.
The indoor competition, held annually in Falkirk, saw Zoe comfortably progress through the opening matches where she then faced long-standing champion, Pamela Mitchell of Fife. Having never managed to beat Pamela previously, Zoe astounded the crowd with an impressive 8-3 victory in the final.
Well done to Zoe and her coach, Ian Hepworth, who works tirelessly to help her reach her potential.
